On 08.10.2011 the time has come. It is again time for the traditional festival in the old village. This festival, which was over 25 years to finance the new fire hall for the first time organized directly by the irrigation channel is quickly becoming one of the most popular event with locals and guests in Algund. It will now take place for several years on the road next to the church behind our house and includes the normal operation of multiple hard to do, like the old wine cellar, which plays its own music and home-made wines are served in what different winemakers from Algund. Another highlight is undoubtedly also the fireworks, which lightens every year since 2002 the skies over Algund in various colors.
Heart of Jesus Sunday
In 1796, the Tyrolean have because of the danger of Napoleon entrusted the land to the "heart of Jesus" and promised to renew this pledge annually celebrated. And Andreas Hofer has won a surprise during the "Bergisel" to the "heart of Jesus" and the battle calmly. What he has also renewed the vow, and named the "Sacred Heart Sunday" to a high holiday.
The "Sacred Heart Sunday" was the first Sunday set to Corpus Christi and is still celebrated in many places celebrations and parades with chirchlichen. But the highlights are the "heart of Jesus fire," which will be lit at dusk in the mountains. 
Beginning of the hiking weeks in Öhlerhof
Now start the " Walking Weeks "in Öhlerhof and take to 07.08.2010. We look forward to work together with our guests hike the mountains of South Tyrol and spend some fun at the barbecue evening hours. This was already closed many a friendship that has existed over the holidays also. 
We were at the lake!
Here we have inserted a brief photo stop, and start enjoying the alpine environment through woods and meadows to leave toward the Mediterranean landscape with palm trees and olive trees at the lake. At Arco, just before the lake, we have strengthened us at a picnic with original South Tyrolean bacon and homemade wine from Öhlerhof. Then we went up to Malcesine, a small town on the shores of Lake Garda at the foot of "Monte Baldo" is located. The day offered a tour on your own 
, take a stroll through the narrow streets, or sit by the lake and enjoy a cappuccino. The journey took us to East Gardesana (Left Bank Road), past Garda and Bardolino to a romantic, a walled town of Lazise. Again, we had some free time, until we have returned after a long day on the highway to our native place Algund. South Tyrolean Vorendscheidung 26th Grand Prix of Folk Music

On Friday the 21th May, in the Peter-House in Thalguter Algund deciding which performers at the finale of the 26th South Grand Prix represented the People's Music in Vienna. 
Also in this year's Yuri had nearly 100 applications from all over South Tyrol choose the best 15 performers. These 15 will be on Thursday the 20th May at the dress rehearsal on Friday, before a crowd and make the audience with many celebrities and the Frensehzuschauern with their brand new titles. With security being born again different hits of the folk music scene.
